Local and remote backup tiers with rotation, compression and Telegram updates.
The problem
Personal infrastructure needs a repeatable backup routine and a way to see whether each run has finished. A single copy also leaves fewer recovery options.
What I built
I combined Bash, rsync and pigz into backup scripts with rotation, separate local and remote tiers, and Telegram notifications for run results.
What it enables
The workflow keeps backup copies in separate tiers and makes completion and failures visible through notifications. Rotation provides a defined approach to retaining copies.
